Past Conferences

In 1999, Penn State University, Ohio State University, and the University of Wisconsin-Extension initiated the Outreach and Public Service Conference to share knowledge about their community-based programs. Since 2001, it has been established as an annual conference and has changed names several times to its current Annual Meeting of the Engagement Scholarship Consortium (ESC). Following is a list of the conferences held from 1999 to the present, with links to conference websites or program materials:

• 2023: "Mobilizing Change through Engaged Scholarship"

• 2022: "The Impact of Engaged Scholarship: People, Purpose, and Passion "
  Hosted by University of Georgia and the ESC Southern Region
• 2021: "Creating Connections and Expanding Possibilities"
  Hosted by Penn State University and the ESC Eastern Region
• 2020: The live conference was not held in 2020 and postponed until 2021 out of an abundance of caution amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, Virtual Meeting Sessions were held in October and November 2020.
