The ESC welcomes institutions committed to scholarship-focused community engagement to join in its efforts as members of the consortium.
Member benefits include:

Annual Conference
ESC hosts an annual conference and individuals from Member Institutions are able to attend at a discounted rate. Member Institutions have the opportunity to host and participate in the planning of the annual conference. ESC supports regional conferences and symposia sponsored by Member Institutions.

Training
ESC provides intensive training for Emerging Engagement Scholars (graduate students and new faculty) as well as professional development for engagement professional staff during the annual conference.

Recognition
ESC recognizes excellence in engaged scholarship through its individual and institutional awards and recognition programs.

Grants
ESC provides financial support to faculty from ESC member institutions, through the Engaged Scholarship Research/Creative Activities Grants Program, for projects that help facilitate positive outcomes for both scholars and communities.

Research Collaborations
ESC promotes opportunities for faculty from Member Institutions to collaborate on opportunities for research and external funding.

Journals
ESC sponsors two refereed peer reviewed journals on engaged scholarship. Member Institutions and others have access to these journals and the journals’ editors.

Leadership Opportunities
ESC provides leadership opportunities in engaged scholarship through service on ESC committees and election to the ESC Board.

ESC's pre-conference workshops, the Outreach and Engagement Practitioners Network and the Emerging Engagement Scholars Workshop offer invaluable networking opportunities for participants.
