As higher education faces growing questions about value, trust, and impact, engagement scholarship offers a powerful framework for connecting student learning with societal benefit. This keynote examines how High-Impact Practices (HIPs), and especially community-engaged teaching, scholarship, and learning, shape student development, deepen learning, and contribute to the public good. By focusing on the quality of engagement, the presentation emphasizes using data and student voice to expand equitable access, assess quality, and continuously improve engaged learning to advance transformative experiences for students and meaningful benefits for faculty and communities.
