Excellence Awards Criteria

Faculty Excellence

  • Program description (500 words) – describe the overall program or project including the role the faculty member(s) had in the co-design, implementation, management, and evaluation.
  • Participating partners (400 words) – identify the key community partners, including their role in the co-design, implementation, management, and evaluation of the program or project. 
  • Relevance to current scholarship (400 words) – describe how this program aligns with the faculty member(s)’ current scholarly agenda.
  • Program outcomes and impact (400 words) – share key outcomes and impacts that program is having and how data/metrics are being collected.
  • Next steps (400 words) – describe the future of the program, including any growth or expansion plans.
  • Lessons learned (400 words) – describe key lessons learned and how the program has or will adapt.
  • Scholarship (400 words) – how has the faculty member(s) shared outcomes and impact with broader communities (manuscripts, reports, etc.)

Staff Excellence

  • Program description (500 words) – describe the overall program or project and how principles of co-design, creation, and implementation were achieved.
  • Participating partners (400 words) – identify the key community partners, including their role in the co-design, implementation, management, and evaluation of the program or project. 
  • Program relevance (400 words) – provide evidence that the program is meeting an expressed need in the community.
  • Program outcomes and impact (400 words) – share key outcomes and impacts that program is having and how data/metrics are being collected.
  • Next steps (400 words)– describe the future of the program, including any growth or expansion plans.
  • Lessons learned (400 words) – describe key lessons learned and how the program has or will adapt.

Student Excellence

  • Program description (500 words) – describe the student-led program including target community that it serves and history of the program.
  • Participating partners (400 words) – identify the key community partners, including their role in the co-design, implementation, management, and evaluation of the program or project. 
  • Program relevance (400 words) – provide evidence that the program is meeting an expressed need in the community.
  • Student interest (400 words) – describe how the program or project aligns with the students’ current or future interests and goals.

Community Partner Excellence

  • Organization overview (500 words) – describe the community partner and their role in the community, including services provided.
  • History of the partnership (500 words) – describe the history of the partnership with the organization.
  • Future of partnership (400 words) – describe future plans that the college or university has with the community partner.
  • Impact of partnership (400 words) – provide an overview and specific examples of the impact the partnership has had with the targeted community.
