The application portal (link below) will be open February 14 – March 25, 2022. All nominations must be submitted by the deadline of March 25, 2022. Application materials will be reviewed by ESC member institution representatives and award recipients will be notified by May 13, 2022.
Award Categories: Excellence in Community Partner Engagement; Excellence in Faculty Community Engagement; Excellence in Staff Community Engagement; and Excellence in Student Community Engagement.
- Program description (how does the program/project reflect a collaborative team effort by the community partner, higher education institutional leaders, and students?)
- Participating partners (please list and describe the involvement of community partner(s), students [undergraduate, graduate, and/or professional], and college/university units and departments)
- The importance of the project in the community (why has the project been identified as an exemplar?)
- Overall relevance
- Program outcomes and next steps (describe broader impacts)
- Lessons learned
The Award Categories of Institutional Leadership and Distinguished Engaged Scholar have different submission criteria that is outlined on the application portal (link below).
In addition to the narratives listed above, nominations will include one letter of support describing program outcomes, university/community collaboration, and scholarship contributions.
