Gavin Luter

Gavin Luter is the Strategic Initiatives and Outreach Manager, Arlington Campus, School of Public and International Affairs, Virginia Tech Research Center at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He also serves as interim managing director of the Educational Partnerships for Innovation in Communities Network (EPIC-N), a coalition of colleges and universities dedicated to connecting higher education's human capital with the needs of local governments and communities. Professionally, he is the Chair for the Place-Based Justice Network. He formerly served as Managing Director of the UniverCity Alliance at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He also previously served as Executive Director of the Wisconsin Campus Compact. Gavin received his PhD from University at Buffalo in Educational Administration, his MS from University of Tennessee-Knoxville in Higher Education Administration, and his BA in Public and Urban Affairs at Virginia Tech. He is a published scholar in the field of community-university-school partnerships. He's an avid tennis player and enjoys traveling alongside his spouse.
